Welcome to British Borders

Firstly, a warm welcome to our website. At British Borders we are not just your typical Arma 3 role play community. By bringing together players from around the globe, who share our passion for role play, our members become part of our story and are proud to call us home.

We continue to forever challenge the conventional norms that so many Arma communities have come to accept, continuously raising the bar and setting the standards. Our extensive list of features, along with our fantastic user friendly website and our committed staff team, help to deliver an enjoyable, unique and lasting gaming experience.

We would invite you to join us and become part of that experience.

This message will be removed once you sign in.

Added (IMPORTANT) - Faction Command (FC) tag. Here are some of its features:

  • grants access to view and respond to applications.
  • can move, pin and lock threads in their faction area (will help with maintaining important threads and archiving applications appropriately.)
  • submit whitelist requests in staff lounge.

Added (IMPORTANT) - Banned tag (Primary group). Here are some of its features:

  • Disables the members ability to interact with basic features on the website, restricting page access and accessability to a minimum.
  • Can only view Unban Request (forum area), Rules and Unban Request form.
  •  Is to be used by Mods+ if a person is banned off the server and is a registered member. MUST be removed when the ban expires or if an appeal is successful.
    • If a player is banned for 3 days or less, then in accordance with our Community Policy, they can still use our Teamspeak. Thus meaning that if they register they can become a member but their member tag replaced by the 'banned' tag. (Tried to explain this the simplest way :D)
    • Unfortunately if the person banned is not a registered member and banned for more than 3 days they wont be able to appeal as staff wont be able to verify their account due to them being banned from Teamspeak (In accordance with our Community Policy.)

Added - A new forum area called 'Whitelist Requests' has been created so that Faction Leaders and Faction Command can request that members of their faction can be whitelisted/unwhitelisted accordingly. The web team can then issue the tags.

Added - New website background promoting our apparel.

Added - Anti spam on applications. Users must now wait 48 hours before being able to submit a new application (applies to all factions, staff and unban requests.)

Added - Two new banners added to Download Centre (Biography & Gaming Setup) for members to download and use on their profile 'about us' area.

Added - PMC meeting now added to the Calendar.

Changed - Renames the 'Takistan Police' tag to 'Police'.

Changed - A small change was made to the website Terms and Conditions (Now states: members must connect to Teamspeak to be fully verified.)

Changed - Complete reworking of website permissions in line with newly introduced tags.

Fixed - Text will no longer appear under certain awards on member profile areas.

Fixed - Attachments should now appear correctly on forum threads.

Fixed - Members can now view their own applications and responses.

Removed - Faction Leaders can no longer view the member area (but still can access admincp for using Bulk PM.)
